Peter has recently joined the Strategic and Social Planning Division of Planning SA.
Peter brings an eclectic mix of suitable experience to his position. He has an extensive senior management background in local government covering both Planning and Community services with the City of Victor Harbor, City of Salisbury and Adelaide City Council.
Prior to local government, Peter spent several years in peak bodies for the non-government sector as Executive Officer of the Northern Territory Council of Social Service and then the General Secretary of the Lewisham Council of Social Service in London.
Peter has a Masters degree in Planning from the University of Adelaide and maintains research and part-time teaching links with each of the three universities in South Australia.
As Team Leader for the Unit responsible for the revised Planning Strategy and also the Growth Management Strategy response to the South Australian Strategic Plan, Peter’s attention is sharply focussed on what achieving – or not achieving – a two million target may mean for future generations of South Australians.
