Roy Winslow

Over the past decade, Roy Winslow has escaped Perth and established himself as a rural and regional local government planner in Western Australia. Roy was employed by the Shire of Ravensthorpe in July 2005 to assist the Shire with the myriad of planning challenges faced when a mine and residential workforce comes to town.
Prior to Ravensthorpe, Roy was Principal Town Planner at the Town of Port Hedland dealing with the issues arising from the large scale expansion of the iron ore industry and as Shared Shire Planner for two Western Australian Wheatbelt Shires, where the need to balance rural living development with traditional agriculture pursuits was an everyday challenge.
