The Planning Review
Report of the Planning Review
The Planning and Development Review was initiated by the Minister for Planning and Deveopment, Paul Holloway, in June 2007.
The Review was conducted by a small, independent steering committee, reporting to the Minister. It took an intensive and wide-ranging look at the planning system, with a view to ensuring South Australia leads the nation in planning reform.
Michael O’Brien MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier, chaired the steering committee. The committee membership included Michael Hickinbotham, Fiona Roche and Grant Belchamber from the Economic Development Board, Tim Jackson and Stuart Moseley from local government, and planning law expert Jamie Botten. The committee engaged additional expertise as required during the Review process, including KPMG.
On 10 June 2008, the Final Report of the Planning and Development Review Steering Committee was released.
