The Major Developments Panel ceased operation on Thursday 14 December 2006.

The Panel's role in the Major Development proposal assessment process has been transferred to the Development Assessment Commission (DAC), as per the Development (Development Plans) Amendment Act 2006 passed by State Parliament on 15 November 2006 and SA Government Gazettal Notice of 14 December 2006.
